Project Description:
2025 ADDY Award winning design. Project 2 is a team based branding and packaging assignment where students build a cohesive identity system and apply it across multiple consumer touchpoints. Teams develop a logo, define brand attributes, and establish art direction through moodboards, then execute a board game box mockup and trading card package mockup supported by a brand or style guide. The project concludes with a presentation that documents process, design rationale, and individual team contributions.
Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to:
- Develop a cohesive brand identity system from concept to application.
- Use moodboards and iteration to refine art direction and brand voice.
- Apply typography, color, and layout to create consistent packaging across formats.
- Produce production aware mockups with clear hierarchy and legibility.
- Present and defend design decisions using process evidence and team role accountability.
